Why THE GUYS

  • 100% Private Capital: Our loans are funded by our own capital and our investors’ (friends and family). We are not loan brokers. We do not work for wall street.

  • Fast Underwriting: When you speak with us you’re speaking with a decision maker. There is no underwriting committee, appraisal committee, etc. We control the capital, we decide what we lend on.

  • Streamlined Process: We do not typically require formal appraisals or draw inspections, and have a streamlined process. We typically close loans within 3 days for existing clients, and have closed loans same-day.

Who we are

Zach Richards

has been a private lender since 2020. Zach has a background in software development and finance. He graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2016 with a degree in Computer Science and a minor in Business, and later earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire, with a specialization in Finance.
After five years as a software engineer,

Zach transitioned to Product Management. During his time in software, he led a team in developing a Business Process Management solution

Overseeing engineers from the United States, India, and Poland. Always wanting to have his own business, Zach ventured into private lending, originating loans of various sizes and developing systems to manage the loan portfolio efficiently. He also provided feedback on a friend’s private lending book, drawing on his experience in the field. He started lending his own capital, but after a few loans with his own money, friends and family became interested in participating in private lending, and his business grew from there.

Outside of work, he and his wife, Ella, volunteer with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, raising and training seeing-eye dog puppies. During his downtime, Zach enjoys outdoor activities like hiking and skiing, as well as working on his rural New Hampshire property. He also offers real estate development consulting services, focusing on analysis and underwriting for commercial buildings and ground-up developments. Zach is also an elected member of the Planning Board of his small town in New Hampshire.

Mike Seidl

is an experienced entrepreneur and real estate investor who has built successful businesses across several industries. Since 2017, he’s been focused on providing personal capital to real estate investors, earning a strong reputation for delivering safe, reliable returns.

Mike first jumped into real estate by partnering with experienced pros on joint ventures. He would provide the funding for renovations, and they would split the profits. In 2019, he pivoted to lending his capital to seasoned residential fix-and-flip operators. Things really took off in 2021 when a good friend and fellow business

owner asked for a secure way to invest his money in real estate. That conversation sparked the idea for a community of investors who now lend personal capital to operators who purchase, rehab, and sell both residential and commercial properties. Together, they’ve funded loans of all sizes, from $15,000 to $2.4 million.

Before his work in real estate, Mike’s career was dedicated to helping people. After studying economics at New York University, he worked at a residential facility for sexually and physically abused kids, managed a group home for adults with intellectual disabilities, and served as a mental health worker at a psychiatric

hospital. This experience gave him a deep understanding of human behavior, which became the foundation for his first company—a medical alert systems business that he and a partner sold to a public company ten years later.

After taking five years off, Mike started his second business in the construction industry, focusing on property damage repair. He grew it into a company that handled around 250 jobs a year before selling it in 2017.

Today, Mike’s goal is to start and self-fund a nonprofit for kids who “age out” of foster care and government facilities. He plans to offer experience-based training in mindset, how the brain works, finance, nutrition, exercise, and entrepreneurship to give them the hands-on skills they need to thrive.
